GRADUATE TEACHING INSTITUTE FOR GTAs IS AUG. 21-23

The 2000 Graduate Teaching Institute will be held Aug. 21-23 for newly appointed graduate teaching assistants.

Registration is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the lobby of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building. The program will begin at 12:30 p.m. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. in the Hampton/Newport News Room in Webb Center.

The program on Aug. 22 begins with a continental breakfast from 7:30 to 8 a.m. in the MGB lobby, immediately followed by presentations through 12:50 p.m. Lunch will be provided from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Hampton/Newport News Room.

On Aug. 23, three practice presentations are scheduled: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.; 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Participants should sign up for one of these sessions on Aug. 22. All GTAs are required to attend, even if they attended the Interim GTA Institute last January.
