OLD DOMINION TO CHANGE BANKS

Effective July 1, Old Dominion will change banks -- from First Union to Bank of America.

"We expect no disruption of current services," said Ann Reid Tatman, the university's administrative services manager. "Employees should note, however, that there will be a different bank listed on their payroll deduction stubs and paychecks."

Bank of America will subcontract with Bank of the Commonwealth to reopen the vacated bank in Webb Center and to operate the ATM machine there and the one outside the Public Safety Building.

The branch bank in Webb Center should be open by late July. According to a Bank of the Commonwealth official, at least one of the two ATM machines will be in operation until the new ATM equipment is installed. The bank plans to sponsor promotions and products geared to faculty, staff and students.
