FINLEY-CROSWHITE AWARDED NEH SUMMER STIPEND

Annette Finley-Croswhite, associate professor of history and graduate program director in history, has received a $4,000 summer stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The grant is her third from NEH and will fund work on her second book, "Living at The End of Time: A History of the French Catholic League, 1584-98." The federally sponsored grant program was created during the Kennedy administration. In 1994, Finley-Croswhite won the $30,000 NEH Fellowship for College Teachers and took a year's leave to write her first book. That same year, she also won her first NEH summer stipend.
