GARY CROSSMAN RECEIVES OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Gary R. Crossman, associate professor of engineering technology at Old Dominion University, has been awarded an Outstanding Professional Achievement Award from the United States Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association.
Crossman, a 1964 graduate of the academy, was honored for his distinguished 30-year career in engineering education.
A faculty member at Old Dominion since 1970, Crossman has served as associate dean of the College of Engineering and Technology and as director of the Technology Applications Center. An eight-time outstanding faculty award winner and author of numerous books, articles and papers, he is the recipient of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Ben Sparks Medal, the American Society of Engineering Education's Frederick Berger Award and the James H. McGraw Award in Engineering Technology Education.
