OLD DOMINION STUDENTS, PROGRAMS IN NATIONAL TELEVISION NEWS SPOTLIGHT MONDAY
Two national news crews -- CNN and CBS -- will be on campus Monday, highlighting Old Dominion University students and programs.
A reporter and crew from CNNdotcom, a half-hour news program focused on the impact of technology and computers on people's lives, will be on campus today for a story about online courses at Old Dominion. The reporter is scheduled to interview several students and Donald Smith, associate professor of sociology.
A crew from CBS News' 48 Hours will also be on campus to interview Old Dominion chemistry student Chris Robertson for its "Class of 2000" series. The program has been following a group of 1996 high school graduates over the past four years to record the students' decisions and progress.
Air dates for either segment have not been determined.
