ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE FOR DISABLED COMMUNITY TO BE HELD TOMORROW
The Virginia Assistive Technology System of Southeastern Virginia will sponsor its 10th annual Conference Thursday, May 25 at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside. VAT-SE is coordinated through the Darden College of Education.
The multisite video conference, titled "Assistive Technology, Advocacy and Employment: Preparing the Person, Preparing the Workplace," will be based on the campus of George Mason University and held at satellite sites in Fairfax, Norfolk, Bristol and Roanoke.
Specifically designed for the disabled community and focusing on employment-related issues, the conference will feature a job fair, video presentations and a disability benefits workshop.
