OLD DOMINION GRAD TO DISCUSS WETLAND MODELS MARCH 16

Old Dominion University graduate Paul Minkin of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will discuss "Development of a Wetland Functional Assessment Model" at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in Room 102 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.

The lecture is part of the Old Dominion Department of Biology Seminar Series.

Minkin's current research is on ecological modeling of wetland systems in to develop functional assessments to be used for planning and regulatory needs. Data - including soils, hydrology, vegetation, topographic and climatic information - are being collected from reference wetland sites in order to build the models.
