Finel-Honigman will present "Euro-Dollar Competitiveness: The First European Union/U.S. Challenge for the Next Century" at noon at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Before joining Johns Hopkins University, Finel-Honigman served in the Clinton administration as senior adviser of finance policy in the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she oversaw the introduction of an initiative on the European Monetary Union and its implications for U.S. competitiveness. She was previously a visiting professor of international and public affairs at Columbia University and chair of foreign languages at New School University.
