SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH CENTER POLL FEATURED ON CNN
A statewide political poll conducted by Old Dominion University's Social Science Research was featured Thursday on CNN and in other national media.
The poll, which tracks Republican presidential candidates' popularity, as well as voter opinions on other political races, was featured on the cable network's Inside Politics program. Results also were carried by the Associated Press news service national wire.
Poll data showed that Texas Gov. George W. Bush's lead over Arizona Sen. John McCain is half of what it was in November, when the Social Science Research Center began tracking Virginia voters' opinions. CNN used a graphic to illustrate these numbers in a discussion among anchors Judy Woodruff, Bernard Shaw and syndicated columnist Robert Novak.
