PSEUDOSCIENCE LECTURE SERIES CONTINUES THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

Robert Park of the American Physical Society, a professor of physics at the University of Maryland, will discuss alternative medicine Thursday and Friday at Old Dominion University in conjunction with the Department of Physics Spring Colloquium Series and the College of Sciences Distinguished Lecture Series.

Park will discuss "Placebos Have Side Effects" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building Auditorium. He'll also have breakfast with students from 9-11 a.m. Friday in the Virginia Rice Webb Room of Webb University Center.

Park's Friday talk, "The Road from Foolishness to Fraud," will be at 3 p.m. in Room 200 of the Oceanography and Physics Building. Refreshments will be served at 2:30 p.m. All presentations are free and open to the public.
