OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY BUS TOUR TO VISIT RICHMOND FEB. 10-12

Old Dominion University President James V. Koch will travel to Richmond with more than 50 faculty, administrators and students for the university's 10th annual spring bus tour, Feb. 10-12.

Old Dominion faculty will teach classes at Governor's High School, Manchester High School and Midlothian High School on a variety of subjects, including journalism, political science/law, criminology, creative writing, public speaking, finance, accounting, engineering, microbiology, oceanography and psychology.

President Koch will give a "Life After High School" talk to Midlothian High School seniors, addressing industrial and technological advances over the past three decades. He will also speak to civic and political groups during the tour.

The Old Dominion group will host an admissions reception for prospective students and their families from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Park South in Richmond. The reception is free and open to the public.

To learn more about the university, guidance counselors have been invited to a lunch with faculty and admissions representatives on Feb. 11, and Old Dominion alumni, legislators and community leaders have been invited to an evening reception on Feb. 10.

President Koch initiated the annual bus tour soon after arriving at Old Dominion in 1990 as a way to meet Virginia residents and help them become more familiar with the university. Previous tours have visited Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Roanoke, the Eastern Shore and Richmond.
