HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR HELD TODAY AS PART OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH
A health and wellness fair for students, staff and faculty will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in the North Mall of Webb University Center at Old Dominion University. The event is part of the university's observance of Black History Month.
Massages, wellness information and screenings for diabetes, cholesterol and sickle cell anemia will be offered. The event is sponsored by Student Health Services.
Another Thursday session, "How to Succeed in School as an African-American Woman," will explain how students can gain support from sharing aspirations and experiences related to race and gender in the context of school demands. This workshop will be from 4-6 p.m. in the Chesapeake Room of Webb Center.
