BUSINESS WEEK EDITOR TO SPEAK AT ECONOMICS CLUB LUNCHEON TODAY

Michael Mandel, economics editor for Business Week magazine, will speak at the Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads luncheon Thursday, Feb. 17.

Mandel's talk, "The Boom: How Long Will It Last?" will begin at noon at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside in downtown Norfolk. Co-sponsored by Old Dominion's College of Business and Public Administration, the luncheon costs $30 for non-members. Due to limited space, reservations are required.

Mandel joined Business Week in 1989. Last year, he won the coveted Gerald Loeb Award for his cover stories "The New Business Cycle" and "How Long Can This Last?"

Prior to his current position, Mandel was professor of economics at New York University's Stern Business School. He holds a doctorate from Harvard University.
