BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENTS CONTINUE TODAY

A tree-planting ceremony and a presentation on the history of the Hugo A. Owens African-American Cultural Center will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the center on 49th Street between Elkhorn and Powhatan avenues at Old Dominion University.

The event, in conjunction with the university's observance of Black History Month, is sponsored by Black Student Alliance.

Well-known Nigerian artist Solomon Iskeje will share his work, culture and experiences in America in a presentation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the River Rooms of Webb University Center. The event is sponsored by the Student Art League.
