OLD DOMINION SEEKS MILITARY MBA STUDENTS FOR PILOT PROGRAM

Old Dominion University is seeking active duty military personnel interested in pursuing master's of business administration degrees for a pilot project this spring.

Old Dominion will be accepting local military students to take part in the university's TELETECHNET distance learning broadcasts to deployed navy ships. Two or three courses will be delivered in three-month blocks on Sundays from mid-February to mid-August from Old Dominion's main campus via live interactive television. During the four-hour sessions, local students will be linked to crew participants aboard the USS Eisenhower and the USS Wasp.

To be eligible, Norfolk participants must complete the GMAT, have an undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 in any major and be willing to occasionally adjust class start and stop times to conform to changes in ship locations. Regular resident/nonresident tuition fees apply, including in-state rates when tuition assistance is used.

The registration deadline for the ship project is Feb. 1. For more information, call Old Dominion's M.B.A. Office at 683-3585 or the director of military activities at 683-3018.
