OLD DOMINION ALUMNUS JIM MILLER NAMED ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AT UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND
Old Dominion University graduate and former Monarch basketball player Jim Miller has been named athletic director at the University of Richmond.
Miller takes over on March 1 from longtime Athletic Director Chuck Boone, who is retiring.
Millers comes to Richmond from North Carolina State, where he is executive associate athletic director and chief operating officer. He has a varied background that includes stints at Eastern Academy, Southampton Academy, Virginia Military Institute, Old Dominion, and a sports marketing firm in Virginia Beach.
"I'm delighted for him," said Old Dominion athletic director Jim Jarrett. "He's an Old Dominion graduate we've always been proud of and he's got the perfect background for the job. I'm very excited for him."
