OLD DOMINION PROFESSOR WINS STATE ART EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
B. Stephen Carpenter of Norfolk, assistant professor of art at Old Dominion University and director of the art education program, recently was named Higher Education Art Educator of the Year by the Virginia Art Education Association.
The award was presented at the VAEA's annual conference, held in Virginia Beach in November.
Recipients must be nominated by another art educator. The award signifies that the winner has made significant overall contributions to the field of art education at Virginia colleges or universities.
