OLD DOMINION RESEARCH IS FRONT-PAGE NEWS

Research by Old Dominion University assistant professor of psychology Bryan Porter and the Social Science Research Center made the front page of USA Today last week.

Their research, which chronicled the frustration of urban drivers, was featured in the newspaper's USA Snapshots "infographic" Thursday.

In the study, 44 percent of respondents said their number-one frustration is discourteous drivers. Twenty-one said they're frustrated by congestion, compared with 13 percent who listed drivers breaking traffic laws as their greatest frustration.

Four percent of the respondents said too many stoplights frustrates them and 1 percent indicated long commutes as a frustration.
