KWANZAA CELEBRATION AT OLD DOMINION DEC. 5

"Kwanzaa: Celebrating an African-American Tradition" will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in Webb University Center at Old Dominion University.

General admission is $5. Children age 8 and younger, faculty, staff and Old Dominion students with i.d. are free.

Kwanzaa, a holiday celebrated by people of African descent, revolves around fundamental activities that celebrate and reinforce family, community and culture.

The Old Dominion celebration will include a procession of elders, a fashion show and food samples, as well as entertainment in the African-American tradition � gospel, dance, jazz and storytelling. The Office of Multicultural Student Services sponsors it.
