SAUDI ARABIAN AUDITORS TRAIN AT OLD DOMINION
A group of seven auditors from the Saudi Arabia Government Auditing Bureau are taking courses in computer auditing at Old Dominion University's Center for Global Business and Executive Education, the professional training and continuing education unit of the College of Business and Public Administration.
During the 10-month training program, the Saudi auditors will complete six months of English language training, focused on business and auditing terminology, and four months of computer auditing classes specially customized to their needs.
The Saudi Arabia Government Auditing Bureau is comparable to the U.S. government's General Accounting Office. The group is responsible for auditing all Saudi Arabia government agencies and state-owned companies, including the vital Saudi oil production companies.
This is the second time the Saudi Arabian government has sent auditors to train at Old Dominion; a similar group trained in 1996-97.
