DOCTOR TO DISCUSS NEW CELL RESEARCH AND APPLICATIONS IN DIABETES TREATMENT
Dr. Aaron Vinik of The Diabetes Research Institute of Eastern Virginia Medical School will give a talk as part of the Department of Biological Sciences Seminar Series at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, in Room 101 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.
Dr. Vinik works on factors that determine the growth of new cells in the pancreas and will discuss the possible applications of these new cells in diabetes treatment.
