ALCOHOL AWARENESS WEEK CONTINUES WITH PROGRAM ON CONSEQUENCES OF DRINKING, MOVIE

Alcohol Awareness Week continues Wednesday, Oct. 19 with "Alcohol in the Hall," a program exploring the consequences of drinking, and a free showing of "Entrapment," the romantic thriller starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones.

"Alcohol in the Hall" will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Gresham Residence Hall and is sponsored by Johnson and Wales and the Residence Life Alcohol and Drug Task Force. "Entrapment" begins at 7:30 p.m. in room 102 of Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building. The movie is sponsored by the Pre-Law Association and the Student Activities Council.

Thursday, October 21, 1999
*Alcohol: The #1 Date Rape Drug, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., Cape Charles Room, Webb Center. The most vulnerable group for date rape are females between the ages of 18-24; in 80% of these cases some sort of substance is involved. Join us for a discussion on the connection between sexual assault and alcohol. Facilitated by Katherine Cross, Phoenix - The Sexual Assault Program of the YWCA. Sponsored by Black Student Alliance, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
*Dollar Dollar Bill, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., South Webb. Answer the question correctly regarding alcohol use on the campus and you could win Monarch Dining Services Cards or other prizes. Sponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
*Talk with Norm, 11:30 - 1:30 p.m., South Cafeteria. Explore alcohol in a way you have never experienced before. This Alcohol 101 CDROM is interactive! Sponsored by the Office of Student Services.
*Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting, 4:30 p.m., Wesley House, 1338 W. 49th Street. Open meeting. FMI 440-1424.
*Your Sisters and Alcohol, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., Cape Charles Room, Webb Center. Join Panhellenic in this thought provoking program to think about what you drink. See how alcohol has impacted other's lives. Sponsored by Panhellenic Council.

Friday, October 22, 1999
*Aerobic Dance Marathon, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Rm. 162 H&PE Building. Come workout at this high-energy, fast paced event. Sponsored by the Recreational Sports Department.
*Happy Hour at Recreation Facilities, The recreational facilities will be open an additional 3 hours until 10:00 p.m. tonight. These facilities include the conditioning room, weight room, and the Rollins pool. From 6:30 - 7:15 p.m., join us for Mocktails Cocktails in the H&PE Building. Sponsored by the Recreational Sports Department.
*Entrapment 8:00 p.m., MGB 102 . Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones team up for a romantic thriller centering around a priceless painting that was stolen in a daring robbery. The evidence points to Robert MacDougal, a legendary gentleman thief who has never been caught. Sponsored by the Pre-Law Association and the Student Activities Council.
