Gov. Ralph Northam ordered the Commonwealth of Virginia flags lowered from sunrise to sunset April 16 in honor of Virginia Tech on the anniversary of the 2007 shooting that claimed 33 lives.
Northam ordered flags be flown at half-staff on all local, state and federal buildings in the state in respect and memory of the victims of the shooting, their families and the entire Virginia Tech community.
