Old Dominion Rated Among Most Military Friendly Schools

Old Dominion University is included in Victory Media's "2016 Guide to Military Friendly Schools," published to help service members with their transition out of the military.

An independent advisory board of higher education and recruiting professionals rated Old Dominion highly across 10 categories, covering military support on campus, graduation and employment outcomes, as well asand military spouse policies.

Colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools earn the "Military Friendly" designation through their embrace of military students and their dedication of resources to ensure success both in the classroom and after graduation.

The board considers extensive research and a data-driven survey of thousands of schools nationwide that are approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding.

"Our Military Friendly schools are truly aligning their military programs and services with employers to help students translate military experience, skills and training into successful careers after graduation," said Daniel Nichols, chief product officer of Victory Media and a Navy reserve veteran.
