ODU to Hold Candlelight Vigil Wednesday for Paul Johnson

On Wednesday night, the Old Dominion University community will gather on Kaufman Mall in front of Webb Center for a candlelight vigil in memory of student Paul Johnson.

The Feb. 26 vigil begins at 7 p.m. Candles will be provided.

During the observance, Rev. Mike Kuhn of the Campus Catholic Ministry and Johnson's friend Joseph Thiell will speak. There will also be an opportunity for open remarks and reflection.

Johnson, a 20-year-old sophomore mathematics major from Henrico County, Va., passed away Sunday afternoon from injuries sustained in an assault.
