ODU and ADS, Inc., Partner to Sponsor Tickets for Troops

Old Dominion University athletics has launched a new ticket program, targeted to the military population in Hampton Roads.
The Tickets for Troops program, sponsored by ADS, Inc., has been created by ODU Athletics to provide local military members and their families the opportunity to attend Monarch athletic events in appreciation for their service. As part of the program, ADS will provide an average of 25 pre-paid tickets to active and retired military to attend men's and women's basketball games, wrestling matches, baseball games, men's and women's soccer matches, and available football games.
Fans can also contribute on their own to the Tickets for Troops program by making a $10 add-on donation with any purchase of tickets to an ODU game, or by clicking on the Tickets for Troops link on the ODU Athletics ticket site, www.ynotix.com, and making a donation. All funds go to provide tickets at no charge to service members and their families.

Approximately one-third of the population in Hampton Roads is affiliated with the military, and over 26% of the 25,000 enrolled students at ODU have a military connection. Old Dominion University was recognized as one of the nation's top veteran-friendly universities in the Military Times' "Best for Vets" 2015 college rankings. The University was one of only 30 higher education institutions in the country to earn this designation and Virginia's top ranked four-year institution.
Old Dominion offers a range of services for student veterans and their families through its Military Connection Center and Student Veterans Association. Headquartered at ODU, the Hampton Roads Veterans Business Outreach Center helps veteran entrepreneurs in the six-state Mid-Atlantic region start and grow their businesses.

Old Dominion University also offers discounts to military members for all single men's and women's basketball, wrestling, men's and women's soccer and baseball games and men's and women's basketball season tickets, by presenting a military ID at the box office window.
The ODU men's and women's basketball teams will be honoring the military at their annual Military Appreciation games on January 17th vs. North Texas and January 24th vs. UAB, respectively. ADS Incorporated will be recognized for their contributions, and up to 250 members of the military will be present courtesy of the Tickets for Troops program, at these games.
