Learn in Real Counseling Environments
The MS in Counseling emphasizes hands-on preparation through faculty-guided coursework and internships in real school and community settings. Students gain experience working directly with clients while applying theory to practice in supportive, closely mentored environments.
ODU maintains strong partnerships with local school districts, agencies, and community organizations across the region, providing students access to meaningful field placements that reflect the realities of professional counseling work.
