Prerequisite checklist

Below are the courses offered through Virginia Wesleyan University that will be accepted toward completing the 8 prerequisites to apply to the MD program.

  1. Please note that prerequisite courses must be completed before matriculation to the MD program.
  2. All required course work must be completed prior to taking the MCAT.
  3. Pre-requisite courses should not be repeated for poor performance.

Note: Any exceptions must be approved in advance by the Admissions Director or the Assistant Vice Dean of Admissions and Enrollment.
