Brandon Green
I had the incredible opportunity to intern for the #1 beauty company in the world, L'oreal. There I was placed on the Kiehls brand where I was the digital marketing intern. I worked on a summer long research project based in our ratings and reviews on Kiehls.com. I got a ton of real life exposure as to how digital marketing works and what goes into it. It was an awesome experience and it has definitely helped me prepare more for my future!

Patrick McGowan
Over the course of the eight-week program, I collected data on the number of Dual Move transactions completed out of the same RMG blocks. I used this data to analyze trends and help management make a decision on whether to make changes to the Terminal Operating Systems to allow for a higher percentage of Dual Moves out of the same RMG block. I then tracked the changes that occurred and compared our Dual Move transaction data vs. the stat wait, turn times, and other yard Key Performance Indicators to attempt to maximize our yard productivity on the Landslide.
During my project, we have doubled the percentage of Dual Moves out of the same block, and have noticed a consistent trend in our stack wait decreasing. This project will be used to help management decide whether or not to increase/decrease Dual Move transactions out of the same block to increase capacity, improve performance and better manage over-the-road truck congestion.

My experience in the Governor's Office was one to remember. I've met so many amazing peoplel that have served as amazing mentors who made a great impact in furthering my professional career. I can confidently say I have learned a lot during my time in the Governor's Office and have gained valuable insignt into Virginia's State Government over the past couple of months. I am excited to use my greater knowledge as a stepping stone for future career opportunities.

This summer I held a management internship with Enterprise, where I worked alongside the manager with monitoring the budget system and teh branch's inventory. Learning how to manage a team to create a profit in store revenue. I have also helped with creating rental contracts for retail customers and corporate accounts.

This sumemr I completed my internship at JPMorgan Chase & Co. I was a part of the Global Finance & Business Management program where I sat as a corporate Controller on the EMEA SPG teams.
Hannah Velasquez
I just completed my internship with NASA Langley. I was an intern at the Office of the Chief Technologist where I got a bit of insight into how NASA works and the processes used there. Every year, the engineers and scientists at NASA are able to submit research proposals for innovative ideas to improve technology or to create entirely new technologies. The Chief Technologist is responsible for reviewing these proposals and distributing funding based on expert reviews.
During the summer, I was tasked with tracking the budget allotted to each proposal and reviewing historical data about these proposals in order to determine trends and return on investment. I learned quite a bit about data analytics and knowledge management and about the incredible inventions and progress that NASA contributes. I was fortunate enough to be able to speak with the researchers who had recently completed their work from the previous year of funding that they had received, and was able to see what kind of advancements they had made.
