De-Stress Week is Dec. 1 - 8! Don't miss out on multiple changes to unwind, relax, release stress, and get prepared for exams!

 

Monday, Dec. 4 - Mindful Moment Monday: Stress Management, 12-2pm, Perry Library (in partnership with Athletics and Office of Accessibility)

Make your own stress ball and learn about stress management tips!

 

Monday, Dec. 4 - Rage Cycle Workout Class, 6-7pm, Student Recreation Center Cycle Studio

Let out any unwanted stress or anger at Rage Cycle! Enjoy an upbeat, energizing cycle workout to rock music and scream out your stress!

 

Tuesday, Dec. 5 - Dance Away the Distress, 12-2pm, Webb Center, Hampton/Newport News Room in partnership with WODU, Wepa, and the Motion Madness Crew

Join us for a moment of movement! It's a time for you to release stress through dancing!

 

Wednesday, Dec. 6 - Workout Wednesday: Express Fitness Classes, 5:30-7pm, Student Recreation Center Fitness Studios

Movement is excellent for stress management and release, so stop by the Student Recreation Center to take short “express” versions of ODU's favorite fitness classes!

 

Wednesday, Dec. 6 - Wellness Wednesday: Navigating Stress and Sustaining Wellness, 5:30-6:45pm, Webb Center, Mane Hub Latinx Room

Join OIR for a cozy pajama party, hot cocoa, and painting as we destress and discuss tips for self-soothing.

 

Thursday, Dec. 7 - Calm Your Crown: Make Your Own De-Stress Kit with SGA, 11am-2pm, Webb Center, Front Lobby

Stop by to make your own stress kit with the Student Government Association!

 

Friday, Dec. 8 - Car Smash, 11-2pm, Kaufman Mall

Let out your semester stress by putting a sledgehammer to a car, right here on campus!

 

Friday, Dec. 8 - Late Night Breakfast, 9-11pm, Broderick Dining Commons

Free food, giveaways, and games! Come destress with Housing & Residence Life and Monarch Dining.

 

December 4-8 - Free Snacks & Activities at the Library!

In addition to these great events, visit Perry Library Dec. 4-8 11am-1pm for free snacks and activities!

Don’t forget, you can De-stress with a free mental health ally or a peer support group!
