Earn $750 during the month of May/early June!
Are you interested in conducting research on how we can support distance learning students? If yes, consider applying for the Innovate Monarchs Undergraduate Online Virginia Network (INNOVATE U-OVN) Program!
In this experiential learning program, you will conduct research using an empathy/human-centered approach on a distance learning related topic of your choosing with guidance from the program director, Dr. Karen Sanzo, during May and early June. The program is a distance program and does not require students to meet in person. Attendance at all program meetings is required and will be held via Zoom.
Earn a $750 stipend at the end of the program for your work.
Each selected student will participate in a Kick-off meeting May 9 from 9 am – 11 am and will present their final research project (detailing your research process and an idea/ideas for supporting distance student learners) June 6 from 9 am – 11 am.
Applications are due May 5, 2022.
The schedule is outlined below.
May 5, 2022 – Applications Due at 12 pm (accepted students will be notified the evening of May 5).
May 6, 2022 – Program acceptance deadline
May 9, 2022 (9 am – 11 am) – Program Launch and Kick-Off meeting
May 18, 2022 (9 am – 11 am) – Program check in (meeting)
May 23, 2022 (9 am – 11 am) – Program check in (meeting)
June 6, 2022 (9 am – 11 am) – Research pitches and end of program (meeting)
