Public Planetarium Shows - Wednesday Nights

Public Planetarium Shows
At the Michael and Kimthanh Lê Planetarium
Chemistry Building – Room 1001

Wednesdays at 7:00 PM

May 4 – “Birth of Planet Earth”
May 11 – “Black Holes: Journey into the Unknown”
May 18 – “Legends of the Night Sky: Perseus and Andromeda”

We will start with a full-dome movie and then show what is currently in the night sky, talk about constellations, planets, nebula, galaxies, and more. The list of movies, or special topics, is available on our website: www.odu.edu/planetarium

1) New building! Our address is 4501 Elkhorn Ave. We are part of the New Chemistry Building.
2) Tickets are $3 per seat. Cash, credit, or debit accepted at the door.
3) No early reservations for tickets. Seating is first-come first-serve with tickets purchased at the door.
4) In accordance with Old Dominion University, we require all visitors and staff to wear face masks that cover both the mouth and nose fully, regardless of vaccination status, in all public indoor settings.

The nature of a planetarium is to be very dark. For safety, we do close the doors a few minutes after the show begins. Again, please arrive early.
