Winter Term or Spring Term? What's the difference?
Confused about "Winter Term" vs. "Spring Term" classes? Not sure if you registered for a Winter Term class? Here's how to tell:
1) Winter Term classes are part of the Spring term -- but they meet earlier, from December 19-January 6, and run for 3 weeks.
2) In the Class Schedule Search, Winter Term classes are returned in the search results for Spring 2023.
3) To see the course start and end dates in the search results, hover over the Meeting Times column for a section; Start Date and End Date are displayed.
4) Winter Term classes also display an attribute in the class search results: Winter Term Class (Dec-Jan).
To see if you are registered in a Winter Term class, in Banner Registration, open your Spring 2023 schedule:
1) Click on the Schedule Details tab.
2) Look at the Class Begin and Class End Dates for each section.
3) A Winter Term class will display Class Begin: 12/19/2022 | Class End: 01/06/2023
4) You can print or email your schedule using the icons on the Schedule and Options tab.
Per University policy, you may register for no more than 4 credit hours (one class) in Winter Term. If you see a Winter Term class in your schedule but did not intend to register for a Winter Term section, please DROP the class from your registrations, and search for a section of the class that has a start date of January 7 or later.
