Sales Tax Holiday Coming Soon
The 3-Day Virginia SALES TAX HOLIDAY will run from Friday thru Sunday: August 6 - 8.
The Village Bookstore will be participating in this event but for only the one day we are open: FRIDAY--Aug 6.
During this sales tax holiday, you can buy qualifying school supplies and clothing without paying
any sales tax.
The state defines " qualifying " as a school supply of $ 20 or less PER ITEM and clothing as $ 100 or less PER ITEM.
At this time, the State of Virginia has not included computers as a qualifying school supply. (Why, I'm not sure !!!!)
Other items are included on the state qualified list such as portable generators or chainsaws but these are not
carried at the Bookstore !!
This would be a great time to stock up on those items and save some money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
