The F. Ludwig Diehn School of Music features a variety of outstanding ensembles for the university musician. You do not have to major in music to continue singing and playing music at ODU. ODU ensemble members are students from multiple majors. Our many ensembles rehearse and perform music of diverse styles. Ensemble membership is a great way to continue your musicianship!
ODU Music Ensembles include the Monarch Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Choir, Diehn Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Choir, Brass Choir, Flute Choir, Madrigal Singers, Collegium Musicum, Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop, Percussion Ensemble, New Music Ensemble, and more! Auditions
Ensemble auditions are open to all ODU students. Most ensembles hold auditions during the first week of each semester, with the exception of the Monarch Marching Band.
