43rd St. Sidewalk Closure at Hampton Blvd.
<p> The <strong>Sidewalk</strong> at the corner of 43rd St. and Hampton Blvd. is now <strong>CLOSED</strong> along the 43rd St. side of the construction zone for the New Education Building in the former BAL Parking Lot (Lot 30). The closure will last the duration of the construction period. For alternate pedestrian access along 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street in the construction site vicinity – please consider the following options:</p> <ul> <li> To access BAL, Gornto Hall or central campus from the east side of Hampton Boulevard – please cross Hampton Boulevard at 45<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street instead of 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street.</li> <li> For access to BAL or Gornto Hall along 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street from the west side of the construction site, a new temporary path has been created for pedestrians. It is located just east of Perry Library (see attached diagram). </li> <li> The sidewalk along the south side of 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street will remain open and unaffected by construction. Please only cross 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street at the designated crosswalks (Bluestone Avenue, Elkhorn Avenue, and Parker Avenue). </li> </ul> <p> *For more information, please contact the Transportation & Parking Services office at (757) 683-4004.</p>
