SGA's Off-campus Safety Initiatives Ad-Hoc Committee
<p> <em><strong>Old Dominion University’s student government association recently approved the creation of an Ad Hoc safety committee that will have the following responsibilities:</strong></em></p> <ul> <li> <em>Creating and maintaining an active interest in safety off-campus</em></li> <li> <em>Work in close partnership with neighborhoods to ease tensions better our community</em></li> <li> <em>Maintain and promote the door/lock alarm program</em></li> <li> <em>Continue to provide students with notices and awareness of resources offered to off-campus residence</em></li> <li> <em>Make formal recommendations of possible resolutions/bills to the University</em></li> <li> <em>Develop programs and initiatives to help off campus students to be successful</em></li> </ul> <p> <em>If you live near ODU in the Highland Park community, Colonial Place community, Lambert’s Point Community, Larchmont community, or other communities around ODU, we want to hear from you! </em></p> <p> </p> <p> <em>The first meeting will be <strong>Thursday, October 2<sup>nd</sup> from 1:45 – 3:00 pm in the Board of Visitors room in Webb Center.</strong> Come out and join the committee!</em></p> <p> </p> <p> <em>If you have any questions contact Joe Powell at <a href="mailto:epowell@odu.edu">epowell@odu.edu</a>.</em></p>
