Parking Plan for Friday Football 9/26/14
<p> <strong>Friday September 26, 2014</strong>, The ODU Football team will host the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at 8:00pm at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. By 3:00 pm on Friday, all parking locations reserved for football must be empty, with several locations closing earlier (see attached maps for specific times). A special transportation and parking plan has been developed to accommodate the additional traffic and parking demand on this day. Parking attendants from Global Spectrum and ODU Transportation and Parking Services will be staffing each parking lot on campus to direct traffic as necessary and provide information.</p> <p> Please consider alternative transportation options such as carpooling, bicycling or public transportation for your trip to campus on Friday 9/26. <u>If you will be on campus on Friday 9/26 with a vehicle after 3:00 pm, please park your car in one of the General Parking locations listed below</u>. </p> <p> <strong>General Parking: </strong></p> <p> Parking will be available all-day Friday 9/26 in the following locations:</p> <ul> <li> 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street Garage (B) at 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street and Bluestone Avenue</li> <li> Constant Center South Garage (C) east of Hampton Blvd. between 41<sup><font size="2">st</font></sup> and 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Streets</li> <li> Constant Center North Garage (D) east of Hampton Blvd. between 45<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> and 46<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Streets</li> </ul> <p> If these locations reach capacity, overflow parking will be provided in the grass parking areas east of Hampton Boulevard between 41<sup><font size="2">st</font></sup> Street and 38<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street. Shuttle transportation will be available between these overflow parking areas and central campus. </p> <p> Specific adjustments to the normal parking locations are highlighted below:</p> <p> <strong>Faculty and Staff: </strong></p> <ul> <li> Lots 5 & 6 near Foreman Field will close at 8:00 pm Wednesday (9/24/14) for game-day preparations.</li> <li> Lot 43 near 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street and Powhatan Avenue will close at 6:00 am Friday (9/26/14).</li> <li> 49<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street Stadium Garage (E) and Lots 7, 8 and 9 will close Friday (9/26/14) at 1:00 pm</li> <li> All remaining central campus lots reserved for football will close at 3:00 pm Friday (9/26/14)</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Commuter Students (commuter / perimeter permits):</strong></p> <ul> <li> Lots 5 & 6 near Foreman Field will close at 8:00 pm Wednesday (9/24/14) for game-day preparations. No evening program parking will be available on Thursday or Friday.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Lot 43 near Powhatan Avenue will close at 6:00 am Friday (9/26/14).</li> </ul> <ul> <li> 49<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street Stadium Garage (E) and Lot 7 (Visitor Lot) will close at 1:00 pm Friday</li> <li> All remaining central campus commuter lots close at 3:00 pm Friday</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Resident Students: </strong></p> <ul> <li> Quad Residents may begin to relocate cars from the 49<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street Stadium Garage (E) to the 43<sup><font size="2">rd</font></sup> Street Garage (B) upper levels at 3:45 pm on Thursday. All cars must be relocated no later than 1:00 pm on Friday 9/26/14.</li> <li> Whitehurst Hall (Lot 42) and Rogers Hall East (Lot 11 cars only) may begin to relocate cars to Constant Center South Garage (C) beginning at 3:45 pm on Thursday. All cars must be relocated no later than 3:00 pm on Friday 9/26/14. All central campus lots reserved for football will close at 3:00 pm Friday (9/26/14)</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Visitors / Campus Guests: </strong></p> <ul> <li> Lot 7 (Visitor Lot) and 49<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> Street Stadium Garage (E) will close at 1:00 pm.</li> <li> Elkhorn Avenue Garage (A) will close at 3:00 pm.</li> <li> All central campus lots reserved for football will close at 3:00 pm Friday (9/26/14)</li> </ul> <p> We thank you for your cooperation for this exciting event.
