ODU Men's Club Basketball seeking Head Coach and Assistant Coaches!
<p> </p> <p> ODU Men's Club Basketball is a brand new organization on campus. With the club operating smoothly for about a month, we've begun the process of scheduling practices and looking for opponents. The next step involved is to fill our coaching staff.</p> <p> </p> <p> Our head coach will be expected to hold evaluations to form traveling and practice rosters, organize and run team practices, coach in games, and assist the President and officers with the operation of the club, including travel, fundraising, community involvement and meeting university standards. Following our first year without university funding, ODUMCBB seeks to aggressively fundraise in order to provide our Head Coach a reasonable stipend for his or her work.</p> <p> </p> <p> Our assistant coaches will be expected to assist the head coach in all of his/her duties and should be available to travel with the team for games. In the circumstance that our head coach is unable to coach for a game, our assistant coaches must be able to coach in his/her absence.</p> <p> </p> <p> Practices are currently scheduled in the <strong>Student Recreation Center Basketball Courts </strong> for the following dates and times:</p> <p> </p> <p> Fridays, 8-9 11/23-12/7.</p> <p> Sundays, 8-9 11/23-12/7.</p> <p> Tuesdays, 5-6 11/25-12/9.</p> <p> </p> <p> Practice times and dates may be reasonably altered in the case of scheduling conflict. Additionally, the Coaching staff will have the opportunity to schedule spring semester practice sessions. However, the athlete's general class schedules will hold the most weight over scheduling.
