MARI & CCPO Seminar Series - Oct. 27

The Oct. 27 seminar in the joint Mitigation and Adaptation Research Institute (MARI) and the Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO) seminar series will be given by Dr. Richard Luettich from the Department of Marine Sciences and Environmental Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Luettich co-developed the ADCIRC (ADvanced CIRCulation) circulation and storm surge model that is now used by the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA to evaluate risk assessment in a range of coastal environments and to design risk reduction projects. Dr. Luettich's seminar will provide an overview of ADCIRC and its application for forecasting event-scale natural hazards in coastal environments. More information can be found in the attached announcement.
