MARI/CCPO Seminar Series - Oct. 20
<pre wrap=""> The next seminar in the joint Mitigation and Adaptation Research Institute (MARI) and the Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO) seminar series will be given by Jennifer Irish from Virginia Tech on Oct. 20. Dr. Irish's research is focused on the physical impacts of coastal hazards, with particular emphasis on the effects of storm surge, tsunami inundation, and erosion. Her seminar will present results from a study that considers the risks of coastal flooding that result from the combined effects of sea level rise and storm surge. This is relevant to the Hampton Roads region. Additional information is available in the attached announcement. A reception will be held at 3 PM, with the seminar starting at 3:30 PM in the first floor conference center of IRB II (4211 Monarch Way).</pre>
