Would you like to see minimized fee increases? Do you have concerns about safety, parking, or other issues on campus? The Old Dominion University Government Relations and Old Dominion's Student Government Association has organized "ODU Day" at the General Assembly in Richmond Virginia. This is an opportunity for students to attend a day lobbying for ODU to receive more funding, while strengthening the relationship between the University and our state representatives. All participating students will meet for the bus on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at 6:00am. Each student will receive complimentary breakfast and lunch, as well as a free ODU cardigan. Participants will be given a talking points sheet, then will split into groups under several team leaders to go to a schedule of different appointments with state Senators and Delegates. The concert will have local artists: The Dahus, The Aragona Project, and Seamonster perform in North Cafe. The event is FREE for student, however donations will be accepted all throughout the show. A raffle will be held at the end of the concert for those who have donated. The concert will help aid funds to the Philippine typhoon relief. It is open to all interested parties; health professionals, faculty, staff, and students alike.
