TRANSformations: Artist Activist Workshop with Clarissa Sligh
<p> <strong><u>Transformation, Community and the Social Self with Clarissa Sligh : Artist Activist Workshop.</u></strong></p> <p> In order to participate please RSVP and complete before your arrival a 16 inch by 20 inch collage of photocopied images and text that is reflective of your life on both sides of the paper. If possible, place the emphasis on family snapshots from your early life. The collage can be put together with glue sticks or tape, and should not be considered “precious.” It can be assembled on any type of paper (at least 16 inches by 20 inches in size). Smaller sheets may be taped, glued or stapled together prior to making the collage. It should be considered a work in progress ready to be altered in the workshop.</p> <p> Explore the construction of your own personal myths and its relationship to your values, the choices you make, a project that you chose to take on and want to take further, begin, or end.</p> <p> In this mini-workshop you will use visual art and/or writing, talking, listening in a creative process to explore ways in which your individual and collective experiences influence how you see yourself, who you think you are, how you choose to express your passions and your voice.
