Homecoming Parade & Fireworks
<p> <strong>Homecoming Parade & Street Closures</strong></p> <p> The Annual Homecoming Parade takes place on Saturday, October 13th at 11 AM to celebrate Monarch pride & spirit and to welcome back alumni from all over. Join your fellow Monarch Citizens as we watch student organizations, the Monarch Marching Band, BIG BLUE, local businesses, high school ROTC units, cheer teams, marching bands, Norfolk Fire & Rescue, and so much more from your community as we march to victory over Villanova. The parade is viewable on 49 St, Hampton Blvd, and 43 St. Put this in your calendar and come celebrate with ODU & don’t forget to bring all of the family and friends!</p> <p> Along with the parade, some street closures will occur. 43<sup>rd</sup> Street, Powhatan Avenue, and 49<sup>th</sup> St. will be closed at 8 a.m. 2 lanes of Hampton Blvd between 49<sup>th</sup> and 43<sup>rd</sup> St. will close at 11 a.m. Entrance to Powhatan Avenue from 42<sup>nd</sup>, 41<sup>st</sup>, 40<sup>th</sup>, 39<sup>th</sup>, and 38<sup>th</sup> St. will be closed. Due to heavy foot traffic, please stay alert if traveling in the area. Traffic delays may occur. Join us as we conclude Homecoming and celebrate our MONARCH PRIDE. The show starts shortly after the game(approximately 7 p.m.) on October 13th at Kaufman Mall & Webb Center.</p> <p> Friends & family are welcome.
