Fear 2 Freedom

Are your students looking for ways to give back to the community?

The Women and Gender Equity center would like to invite your students to come join us in putting together F2F (Fear 2 Freedom) after-care and i-Care kits for victims of sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and sex trafficking.

Did you know when a victim of sexual violence goes to the hospital for treatment, or a PERK (Physical Evidence Recovery Kit) exam, all of their clothes have to be kept for evidence? This means that survivors are leaving our hospitals in paper scrubs after a moment of great trauma and uncertainty.

Fear 2 Freedom is a great way to give back, support survivors, and to engage in a service-learning project to help out the local community. Kits will go to the YWCA of South Hampton Roads and to the Women & Gender Equity Center.

Date: Thursday, November 10, 2022

Time: 12 - 2 P.M.

Where: River Rooms (Potomac/York/Lynnhaven)

RSVP: bit.ly/F2F_F22
