Pathway Retention Award 2023-2024

The Pathway Retention Award (PRA), established by the Office of Institutional Equity & Diversity, promotes the persistence/matriculation of diverse students attending ODU. This award seeks to recognize the value that diverse students bring to the University, including those traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Each year ten students are selected to receive the PRA.

Award recipients receive a specific Meal Plan, which is an extension of the on-campus dining meal plan AND/OR an ODU Bookstore Award.

The PRA is open to all students who are members of underrepresented and marginalized groups. This includes, but is not limited to first-generation students, non-traditional students (i.e. age), racial/ethnic minorities, veterans, students with documented learning disabilities. All students must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. A one-page essay is required.  All submissions are due Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
