Patentability Workshop - 4/28/20

Join the Office of Research for a discussion of what a patent is, when something is patentable, and how it is different from other forms of intellectual property. In this workshop we will discuss inventions, when they are patentable, how to get one, and the process involved in the University setting.

We will also cover the procedures, the different types of applications, and the process with submitting & arguing with the patent office. We will also examine ODU’s IP policy & ownership, and what happens with a patent if we are able to obtain one.
