ODU Libraries Offer Virtual Services to Faculty and Students
University Libraries share the following message with ODU faculty as they deliver their Spring 2020 courses online:
Faculty,
The Libraries are here to help you -- virtually.
We have been working to assist faculty and students with their remote needs during this transition week, and we will continue to do so throughout the spring semester.
- Please contact us if you need help -- via CHAT, Ask-A-Librarian, and individual email – find email for our liaison librarians.
- Please refer to our guide Coronavirus – ODU Libraries Updates for updates in services and resources (eg, ILL, physical materials, returning materials).
- - The guide includes links to Free Publisher Resources (including textbooks and classroom materials), as well as free publisher resources on the topic Coronavirus.
Copyright and Fair Use information is also available on the guide.
- If you'd like to schedule an online library instruction session for your students, visit our Instruction & Workshops page.
- If you can identify e-books that will be useful for your courses, please contact Tracey Bowry tbowry@odu.edu or Rob Tench ftench@odu.edu.
- If you currently have print materials on course reserve, please let us know if you need digital copies. Email circ1@odu.edu
- Contact your liaison librarian to assist with research assignments that students can accomplish remotely.
- Consider using any number of Open Educational Resources (OER) in designing your remote-only instruction.
Lastly, please direct your students to ODU Libraries with any questions and/or concerns during the semester.
Sincerely,
University Libraries
