Severe Weather Awareness Event - Tuesday, March 17, 8:30am-12:30pm

Interested in learning more about severe weather safety? How about Emergency Management and Geospatial courses at ODU? Or maybe Virginia tornado history is up your..."alley?"

If any of the above interest you, please stop by the BAL Lobby on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 between 8:30am and 12:30pm. ODU Emergency Management staff and Geography Department faculty will be on hand to answer your questions about severe weather preparedness and explain how you can learn more about the exciting emergency management and geospatial technology courses ODU has to offer. There will be lots of preparedness giveaways and educational info, a chance to practice tornado safety during the Statewide Tornado Drill at 9:45am, and some cool insight into previous tornado tracking in Virginia.

For more information, contact Dr. Tom Allen, Department of Political Science and Geography (tallen@odu.edu, 757-683-6059) or Jared Hoernig, Office of Emergency Management (jhoernig@odu.edu, 757-683-5116).
