The ODU men's basketball team (12-17, 8-8) will honor seniors Aaron Carver and Loren Brill at Wednesday's 7 p.m. game against UTSA. The senior ceremony will be prior to the game. At halftime, Tyler Scheuer will entertain the crowd with his unique balancing performance. He'll balance a variety of items on the court. He's appeared throughout the country at NBA and college games.
The game will be a rematch of the Feb. 6 contest when UTSA bested ODU, 85-81 in overtime. Junior Jhivvan Jackson, who is second in the nation in scoring at 27.3 points per game, erupted for 45 points in the UTSA win. He set the ODU record for most points scored by an opposing player. Jackson leads Conference USA in scoring while teammate Keaton Wallace is second at 18.7 points per game. ODU counters with a balanced scoring attack that includes four players averaging in double figures, including Malik Curry (13.4 ppg), Xavier Green (12.6 ppg), A.J. Oliver (11.1 ppg) and Jason Wade (10.9 ppg). Wade is out for the remainder of the season with an injury.
Tickets for the game are $17 for adults and discounted to $15 for youth (17 and under), seniors (55+), or active/retired military. Season ticket holders can return up to six unused tickets for tickets for this game as part of the season ticket holder appreciation.
